Charter Software Unveils Major Enhancements in ASPEN 23.3.0 Release with a Focus on Rental Module Efficiency

Centennial, Colorado, December 7, 2023 – Charter Software, a leading provider of software solutions for equipment dealerships, has announced the release of ASPEN 23.3.0, a major update to its flagship product. This update brings substantial improvements to the rental module, offering Charter customers unparalleled visibility, flexibility, and precision in managing rental operations.

“With the high-interest rate environment, we are seeing many customers starting or growing rental operations, and having a fully integrated dealer management system is critical,” said Kanchan Java, General Manager of Charter.

“With the latest release, we’ve greatly enhanced our rental module, which supports customers renting individual units or fleets.”

The bulk of the ASPEN 23.3.0 rental module updates include:

  • New Rental Menu: A centralized hub for all rental-related functionalities, including quick access to reports and settings to improve workflow.
  • Enhanced Rental Quote and Availability: The module now features a new Rental Quote Option and a Rental Availability Screen, offering detailed quotes with pricing information and the ability to swiftly check unit availability and rental rates.
  • User-Friendly Rental Contract Agreement: The redesigned layout includes subtotals and detailed pricing for miscellaneous charges and parts. The terms and conditions section now accommodates up to 30,000 characters, ensuring comprehensive inclusion of legal information in contracts.
  • Increased Flexibility and New Features: The module now offers enhanced flexibility for modifying rental contracts and introduces a yearly rental rate option. Additionally, users can now add comments when recording lost rental sales, providing insights for future improvements.

In addition to these rental-specific upgrades, ASPEN 23.3.0 also brings overall system improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency. These improvements are aimed at making ASPEN easier to use, such as reducing the number of clicks, making search easier, increasing character limitations, and several other new features.

“We’re thrilled to bring these enhancements to our users, and we believe that they will greatly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their rental workflows,” said Java.

“We will continue to listen to our users’ feedback and deliver innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs.”
