We are pleased to announce new integration between ASPEN, our Windows-based business management software, and CNH Capital, the financial services business of agricultural and construction equipment maker CNH Global N.V. (“CNH”).

This new integration with eliminates the need for equipment dealers to go outside of the ASPEN business system or use a credit card terminal to process sales using CNH Capital-issued accounts. Without this integration, dealers accepting the CNH Capital Commercial Revolving Account as payment manually key in their Commercial Revolving Account transactions via the CNH Capital Virtual Terminal.

A flexible new rental management solution is now available to equipment dealers as part of ASPEN, Charter Software’s integrated business management solution for equipment dealers. ASPEN is continually evolving with new functionality to meet dealers’ changing needs.

In addition to the existing functionality of this robust business management system, the flexibility offered by the ASPEN Rental Component gives dealers a competitive edge and eliminates the need for a separate rental system. The ASPEN Rental Component allows equipment dealers to diversify their business into other areas to accommodate their clientele and increase business. Charter Software President Anne Salemo says, “More and more equipment dealers are finding that renting out equipment is a great way to boost revenue, stay competitive, and accommodate their customers’ needs when their equipment is down.”

Using the Rental Component, dealers can serve their large-scale customers with the ability to rent units with multiple durations, manage complicated use tax issues, and bill recurring rentals for repeat business. Flexible billing options and customizable rate matrices are a few standouts of the component not available in other rental systems. Like many features in ASPEN, the Rental Component is the product of current Charter Software customers’ feedback regarding functionality they need to stay competitive and thrive in their industry.
