ASPEN is updated regularly to enable dealers to meet suppliers’ changing requirements. Charter Software works closely with the equipment industry’s leading suppliers and manufacturers to develop electronic interfaces with their electronic parts catalogs and other communications portals to create streamlined tools that save dealers hours by alleviating the need to re-key or duplicate their efforts.

Integration with suppliers saves dealers hours otherwise spent in parts lookup, order processing, and re-keying data! 

Supplier integration in a dealership system facilitates all available communications with the supplier directly through the appropriate areas of the system. Parts availability, information and ordering,  etc., is available on parts screens; supplier flat-rate codes can be brought into work orders to pre-populate job steps and parts. From within supplier parts diagrams, dealers can see their parts information and availability for all of their locations. Dealers can also use supplier integration to upload parts records to dealer locator services, receive automatic price updates, process warranty registrations, submit required reporting, and more. ACCESS TO SUPPLIER PROMOS CAN HELP BOOST YEAR-ROUND SALES AND SERVICE

Supplier incentives such as special financing and discounts help dealerships’ customers proactively manage their cash flow so they may purchase items and services when they need them, which in turn helps dealers level out seasonal dips in revenue.

Supplier integration with major dealership management systems enables dealers to access and offer their customer various supplier promotions with a click of a button from their system’s invoice screen. Dealers can then select and offer the customer the promotion, such as 90 days interest-free, or a discount for which the invoiced items qualify.

 “Access to information about available financing and promotions directly from their business system can help dealers to make or break a sale,” says Charter Software President Anne Salemo. An available quantity-based discount could also increase the total amount.

“Knowledge about the right promo could secure a sale that a customer might not otherwise consider.”

Having the means to stock up on parts, purchase essential equipment, and pay for repairs and/or preventative maintenance during critical times of the year when they may not normally have the cash flow is a huge benefit to customers and dealers alike. “A preventative maintenance schedule benefits both dealer and customer—customers can have their machines serviced regardless of their seasonal financial situation, which in turn helps to round out the seasonal dips in a dealership’s service calendar,” says Salemo.

In addition to John Deere’s Financial Multi-use Account and CNH Capital’s Commercial Revolving Credit accounts, users of the ASPEN system can now process AGCO Plus+ payments and view supplier promotions right from within the ASPEN business system using the AGCO Plus+ interface just added to ASPEN in February of 2015.

The AGCO Plus+ Commercial Customer Credit program is a new AGCO Finance financing solution that offers AGCO customers competitive retail rates for new machinery sales, aggressive rates for used machinery, as well as financing for parts and service and other promotions.

The ASPEN AGCO Plus+ interface is a certified, standalone interface for the ASPEN system. Our development team works closely with AGCO to receive certification on each AGCO dealer transaction integrated within ASPEN. Last year, AGCO API integration, which provides AGCO dealers with functionality needed to meet requirements for AGCO’s Dealer Excellence program, was added to the ASPEN AGCO Communications Interface.
