Charter Software Inc. Adds Commercial Web Services (CWS) Interface to the ASPEN Business Management SystemSubmitted by  Betsy Chase on April 3rd, 2017
Unit upload integration makes it easy for dealers to keep website inventory up to date
Littleton, CO, April 3, 2017 — Charter Software Inc. is excited to announce their ASPEN Business Management System March 2017 release includes the addition of the Commercial Web Services (CWS) Interface. CWS builds interactive, feature rich websites for dealers that include unit inventory management tools allowing dealers to create online showrooms for new and used equipment. Customers can access model data, view images and transact directly from the dealer’s website showroom, increasing the dealer’s online conversions.
The CWS Interface makes managing an online store quick and easy. The Unit Inventory Feed component automatically uploads units and images from ASPEN to CWS to populate the dealer’s website, making it faster and easier for dealers to manage and grow e-commerce sales.
“Dealers spend hours every month manually managing their online equipment listings. Because ASPEN allows them to store a public description and images for each unit, the dealer can easily use our Business Management System to seamlessly upload changes to their inventory postings online” said Anne Salemo, Charter Software Inc. President/CEO. “This allows the dealer to focus on selling the equipment and not wasting time managing its online presence.”
ASPEN Business Management System uses Microsoft .NET and SQL Server to offer dealers strong security, a reliable, manageable IT infrastructure, and easy integration with Microsoft applications. December 12, 2016 – Littleton, CO
Charter Software Inc., maker of ASPEN Business Management Software, announced additional enhancements to their existing Bobcat/Doosan, Mahindra, John Deere and PMPro integrations, designed to increase dealers’ productivity and profit margins. The enhancements are available with the November ASPEN release (v. 6.11.11), and include the following:
* Bobcat/Doosan Flat Rate Times are now supported in ASPEN, enabling dealers to provide more accurate estimates that increase customer satisfaction. Additionally, dealers can better assess their service technician’s productivity and improve profit margins. Charter Software is one of the few business systems who provide this information.
* With the November release ASPEN also supports integration with the new United OPE Flat Rate Guide, which allows users to populate work orders with OPE flat rate repair times and report back actual times to the Guide.
* ASPEN’s Mahindra Parts Order Submission integration eliminates the need for re-keying data, reduces lost orders, and results in higher order accuracy and time savings. Charter Software is committed to their relationship with Mahindra, and plans to continue working with them on other integrations.
* Support for PMPro and JD Parts Advisor was also updated in ASPEN, since both moved to a dynamic, web-based system from information previously installed from DVDs.
Charter Software views their strong partnerships with leading manufacturers as a key component to their customers’ success. “Many OEMs are actively investing in IT initiatives that connect their back-end systems with business systems that their dealers use. ASPEN’s architecture and our close relationships with OEMs like Doosan/Bobcat, John Deere, Mahindra and the like allow us to react quickly to new initiatives so that the dealers can streamline their transactions as much as possible to provide a competitive edge over other area dealers,” said Anne Salemo, Charter Software President/CEO.

Charter Software introduces Yamaha YDS integration
Charter Software announced today their flagship dealership management software, ASPEN, now has Yamaha Dealer System (YDS) integration. With this new feature, ASPEN users can submit parts orders through ASPEN directly to YDS, eliminating the need to rekey parts orders by hand. Dealers using ASPEN business management system will improve parts department efficiency by significantly reducing hours of manual parts order entry.
“Our growth in becoming the leading provider of software in the Golf Car Distributor industry has been exponential. We also have several agricultural and construction dealers who also carry Yamaha products, so this integration impacts a large number of distributors and dealers. We see the integration with leading OEM’s, like our partner Yamaha, as another way we can help dealers increase productivity, decrease data entry time, and have more time to focus on what matters – their customers,” Charter Software President and CEO Anne Salemo stated. “ASPEN’s tight integration with leading suppliers’ back-end systems helps businesses to maintain close communication with whom they work,” she says.
